It's been about a year now since I said that I was going to start up my blog again. I'm finally going to do it, but here at a new location. To start, here's an update on what's been going on...
I graduated from Wheaton (06'), lived at home, worked at a church, worked at a restaurant, didn't go to Kenya, chose LA instead, and then moved to Chicago (Sept '07). I am working two jobs right now. The primary one is as Director of Youth Ministries at LaSalle Street Church. I work part-time, so it is supplemented by working at Starbucks, from 4:45am - 1:15pm three days a week. Emily, my girlfriend, is the reason for my move out here to Chicago, and I haven't regretted it for a second.
I've titled this blog Jesus and Life, mostly because that was available for the URL address. I wanted to title it something super creative that got across the idea of the intersection of Jesus, his life and teaching, Scripture, and the living of life. It got to complicated to name, so I stuck with a simple name and will get into the complicated stuff in the writing. Thanks for visiting. Come often.

Hey, Devin! Nice blog. Good to read it. I'm glad you are back bloggin', by the way. I will check in a lot.
hooray for a blog from devin!
jason and i will be in town december 26th-30th. maybe we can double date again? i'd have to run it by him. silly jason wants to spend time with the fam, too. but i'm sure we can figure something out.
so when are you going to ask emily to marry you? can you do it while jason and i are out there for Christmas? just a thought...
Well my jiggalicious friend... I miss you. If you were around, I'd smother you with heterosexual favor like you're attacking that chicken leg.
Hey friend! Did you hear that I'm heading out your way in about a week?! Hopefully we can run into each other, maybe at church or something...
